CanadaGAP® is a food safety program for companies that produce, handle and broker fruits and vegetables. The program has received full Canadian Government Recognition, and is designed to help implement and maintain effective food safety procedures within fresh produce operations.
A copy of the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables manual is available here and more information on the CanadaGAP website. The manual is designed for companies to implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) in their production.
Traceability is a part of food safety beginning on the farm. For hand picking you can use a log like this to keep track of who was picking on what day, in which rows and quantity. Feel free to develop your own version.
Keeping a picking log is considered best practice and gives you a reference if any issues come up.
